In a time that favours quick fixes, it can be worth talking through things thoroughly.
Psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy is a treatment in which we encounter ourselves in a new way. It offers space to examine ourselves, including the troubled parts of ourselves. This takes time and persistence, and stable support from a trained therapist.
It is a path we walk together.
Florian Johannes Richarts offers psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and supervision in english language.

Psychoanalysis and psychotherapy
About treatment
Psychoanalytically oriented therapy is a treatment based on regular sessions in which patient and analyst aim to explore unknown sides of the patient's inner psychic life. Symptoms are here mainly regarded as manifestations of unconscious inner conflicts or as an expression of relational and developmental challenges. Thus, symptoms and discomfort can be understood as an untold story. In collaboration with their analyst, the patient will aim at understanding and working through their feelings, fantasies and experiences from the past, as well as present-day relationships.
While listening very carefully, the analyst invites the patient to speak freely about whatever comes to mind, also seemingly unimportant thoughts. This process will gradually cast light upon the unconscious, and will help expand the patient's understanding of him- or herself. In this way, the potential for profound changes comes about. Therapeutic work is thus not based upon direct advice, exercises, homework or treatment plans, but rather aims at enabling the patient to come up with her og his own answers. The analyst is no expert on what to do, but he is an expert in listening and picking up unconscious parts of the patient's communications.
